Rushing Lambda Chi Alpha

Dear Prospective Student,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Georgia Tech!

The Beta Kappa chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha wishes to be one of the first to welcome you to Georgia Tech.  

As an incoming freshman to Georgia Tech, we would like to invite you by for our spring, summer, and fall rush events. Rush is a relaxed atmosphere with food and activities where you can stop by to meet the brothers and fellow freshman and have a good time. We encourage anyone to come by, even if you don’t think that Greek life is for you. It is the philosophy of Lambda Chi Alpha that new members be treated as equals with the brothers. In addition, Lambda Chi Alpha has a strict policy against hazing. Upon joining, you will become an Associate Member. Unlike the common pledge at other fraternities, Lambda Chi Alpha's associate members obtain the same rights and respect as brothers. You would be able to attend and vote at chapter meetings, participate in any activities you wish to, hold an officer or committee member position, and even vote on your own rush class members. You will never be asked to do anything degrading, dangerous, or unreasonable.

By joining Lambda Chi Alpha, you have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, perform valuable community service, enjoy positive social experiences, and learn about the special friendships we call brotherhood. Becoming a member of Lambda Chi Alpha extends above and beyond the benefits of any club or extracurricular activity. The bond a brother experiences lies much deeper. With everyone striving together to attain certain principles and ideals, a strong sense of brotherhood develops among members. To solidify this bond, a number of functions are held throughout each year to promote and sustain brotherhood. We also offer each new associate a Big Brother, who acts as a resource of information about the history and ideals of Lambda Chi Alpha. He is also a guide in applying the principles of our Fraternity to daily college life. From the time you receive your Big Brother, he will always be there to help you answer any questions or listen to your concerns.
